Washburn University enrolls 5,719 undergrads

At Washburn University, 80 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Topeka enrolled 6,571 students in fall 2018, including 5,719 in undergraduate and 852 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

87 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kansas, and 8 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (60 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).
