60 percent of applicants to the Washburn Institute of Technology were admitted for fall 2018

At the Washburn Institute of Technology, 76 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The public school in Topeka enrolled 1,417 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

99 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kansas, and 1 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (41 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (7 percent).

The school admitted 60 percent of the 799 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 56 percent enrolled.
