This is the fifth highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Kansas post-secondary schools during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $68,610 on average in Shawnee County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $57,836.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
