Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson has recently used his social media platform to address several legislative priorities, including support for the state’s farmers, workforce training initiatives, and property tax relief. Through a series of posts made on March 11 and 12, 2026, Masterson outlined his ongoing efforts in these areas.

On March 11, Masterson highlighted the importance of agriculture to both Kansas and the nation. He stated: “Kansas farmers work hard every day to feed and fuel our nation. They deserve leaders who will fight for them. These bills protect their livelihoods and help open the door to stronger markets and better prices. I’m proud to lead efforts that put Kansas agriculture first and keep” (March 11, 2026).

The following day, Masterson discussed workforce development during an event with industry representatives. He wrote: “It was a pleasure to join the Associated General Contractors of America during their lunch in Topeka. I had a great time discussing how we can get more young people trained with the technical skills that are needed to be successful and productive when they join the workforce.” (March 12, 2026).

Later on March 12, Masterson expressed frustration over legislative developments regarding property tax relief. In his post he said: “I’m extremely disappointed the House blocked the people’s ability to vote on real property tax relief after it passed the Senate. Property taxes are squeezing Kansas families, seniors on fixed incomes, and farmers. Kansans expect action, not excuses. I will keep fighting to” (March 12, 2026).

Masterson serves as president of the Kansas Senate, a role that places him at the center of legislative negotiations in Topeka.
