On Tuesday, March 11, former Shawnee Heights High School standout Chase Carson’s current college team, the Charlotte 49ers, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Appalachian State Mountaineers.

The game took place at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Mountaineers this season.

The 49ers’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 at 6 p.m. at Hayes Stadium against Davidson Wildcats.
