Media Advisory: Washburn University English Professor to Launch Book “thirst” Wednesday, Nov. 30

Topeka, Kan. – Washburn University is hosting a book launch party for English Professor Karen Barron’s book “Thirst” Wednesday, Nov. 30. This event is free and open to the public. There will be copies of the book available for purchase at the event.

When: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30

Where: The Union Underground in the Memorial Union on the Washburn University campus

Details: “Thirst” is a novel about a betrayal that forces a young woman to flee a relationship and forge a new life in one of the most brutal landscapes on earth. Gradually adapting to her new surroundings, she becomes aware of the impending dissolution of an entire culture.

      During the book launch Barron will give some context about the story and read excerpts from her book. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions at the end.
