Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson shared updates on legislative activity and meetings at the statehouse in a series of posts on March 10 and 11, 2026.
On March 10, Masterson acknowledged a visit from healthcare professionals: “The Kansas Academy of Physician Associates stopped in to see me during their day at the statehouse. Thank you for coming in, and for all you do to provide quality healthcare for Kansans.”
Later that day, he reported legislative progress related to student wellness: “Today, the Kansas Senate passed SB 339 which will require school districts to provide daily recess for Kansas kids, in addition to, requiring a yearly Kansas state fitness test. This bill is a common-sense MAHA measure that promotes the physical fitness of our children and” (March 10, 2026).
On March 11, Masterson highlighted his role in advancing campus free speech protections: “Today I had the privilege of carrying the KIRK Act on the Senate floor. It successfully passed with a super majority, and will honor Charlie Kirk’s legacy by protecting freedom of speech on our college campuses across the state.”
