Only one gas station in Shawnee County sold E85 gas in the week ending Feb. 28, at $1.57 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Across Kansas, the average reported price for a gallon of E85 gas fell to $1.81, compared to the week before.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
