Census Bureau: 74.7% of people in Jackson County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 13,287 citizens living in Jackson County in 2021, 74.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 9,931 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 4,982 were male, constituting 50.2%, and 4,949 were female, making up 49.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Jackson County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 75.6%.
